GO Exclusive - how to toggle between nav screen and menus?

Just done my first big trip with the GO Exclusive. Apart from the pain of having to remember to put the hotspot on to get traffic then losing traffic in a dead zone, I couldn't see how to toggle between the nav screen and menus without exiting from the route. On my old TomTom you could select the menu from the nav screen then go back to the route. With Go Exclusive you have to go into recent destinations and start over - only safe if stopped. Am I missing something?

when you're on the nav screen with the route... you can click on the 3 dots in the lower right corner, next scroll down till you see settings, this will bring you back to the menus... A very cumbersome procedure :-( Perhaps someone found a better/easier way?

It is not highly recommended to do these manipulations while driving.

Exactly, but it's the only way to go to the volume slider or any other options... like I said, it's very cumbersome.

You would still have to exit the route, which means when you've done what you need to do you have to set the route again.

Normally, the route is not deleted. What do you do to delete the route?

Will you use voice command?

when you are in a route and want to got to the menu to comes up "exit the route?" and you have to say yes.
