GO 930 (Europe) - Unable to update

TomTom GO 930, european maps
Home 2.7.1.1812
with SDHC card (8 GB, 5 GB free)
Windows XP

On running Home, I choose the SDHC card for storing updates.

Home detects that there is an update for GO 530, 730, 930 (size is 34.7 MB, version is 8.351).

I do the update, it downloads, it gets installed, all things go well, the update is installed, TomTom reboots.

Well, the same update gets again detected as in need of being installed. I repeat it all.

Guess what? It is again detected as not installed on TomTom next reboot .

HELP !

If you use Explorer, do you see a map folder with stuff in it on the sdhc card?

Yes, but it's called "maps", not map. I assume that this is what you were referring to.
There is a file inside, "Western_and_Central_Europe.tlv", with 3 KB.
In TomTom internal drive, there is also this folder with the same named file, same size.

It sure seems as if it has not installed properly. Look on your computer to C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Downloads\complete\maps and see if you can find a compressed .cab file with the Western_and Central_Europe.cab name. If so, see if the information here assists in installing it without using Home.
