GO 910 recognized as GO 710

When I connect Go 910 to computer Tom Tom Home recognize it as a GO 710 model and offers 710 firmware update. I tried both Vista and XP with the same result. Can anybody advise on this?

It appears the latest application for both the 710 and 910 is the same, 7.903.

Having said that, try a reset on your unit and see if it now shows the correct model.

If not, look (using Explorer) at the contents of your unit. In the root, should be a file TTGo.bif (may be named somewhat differently). It's a text file, what model is shown there?

Also, you can check in Home with the unit docked. Home's menu of Tools-->System information. What shows there?
