Ok, so I am a newbie here, guilty your honour! But, where is all the good oil on the GO 750? Can't find anything for the 750... At the end of the day, is it just me or what that finds editing street speed limits so intuitive - NOT...I need to amend speed limits only at certain sections of road but just can't figure it out.
Oh, and I can't find a way to configure the unit to auto start when I turn the car ignition on... anyone??

Welcome to the Forum!

As far as auto start goes... that feature unfortunately does not exist at this point. You can set the unit up to automatically turn off when external power is lost but you'll still have to turn it on the old fashioned way. Sorry.

You can go to "Change preferences" and "Quick menu preferences" (screen 4 of 9) and select "Mark location of map error". Now you will have an icon on the navigation screen, which allows you to mark the location of an error (e.g. speed limit). You can go back later to make the changes you need to make by tapping the "Map corrections" icon on screen 2 of 3 in the Main Menu.

Hope this helps.

tks for the reply. Didn't help tho, as far as map corrections are concerned, it's still not easy. I know how to get to the corrections page but as far as changing a speed limit on a particular section of road is concerned...too hard. I just can't get the road section I want highlighted. Everything else highlights except the part I want. The user manual is useless, I hope someone in the forums can write a good instruction. Provided of course there is a simple method, the software maybe crap.

Map corrections for speed limits and road names initially select the entire length of the road that shares the same name. Then you can go to "edit" and deselect specific segments that you don't want.

One workaround is to select a small sidestreet near your desired change. Then in "edit" you can deselect the sidestreet and then select the large road one segment at a time.

Also, this is sometimes easier to do under "Operate my GO" in HOME so you have the precision of the mouse to help you.

Tomtom assumed that these types of changes affect large segments, so it defaulted to large sections of road rather than smaller sections of road.

ok, thanks for that. Just about to have another crack at the speed limit changes on the laptop. It's no big deal, just a tad frustrating trying to make small corrections.
Regards
Steve
