GO 740 Questions

• Is the antenna internal to the GPS or the mount? When I use the home dock I get no GPS signal when my old 730 got a signal
• When I do "Travel Via" it keeps trying to send me to the via point after I arrive and leave. Do I need to do a recalculate route?
• When I have no GPS signal, I've had the unit reboot. Is this normal?

I've used the 740 walking, it definitely has in internal GPS in the PND.

You shouldn't need to. Was your via point on the same side of the road? If the via point is on the other side of a divided highway, the Tomtom doesn't think you passed it.

That's a frequently reported bug. It happens a lot if you 1) have no signal, and 2) didn't do a "clear route" before your last power-off
