Is this can be corrected?
I live in Corpus Christi Texas. My Go 730 picks up signal almost instantly even from inside my garage.
Now, I made a temporary move to Houston, Texas and the nightmare started. It takes foreever for my GPS to pick up a signal even in an open area with blue sky. It is not unusual for me to start driving after entering an address only to find out, 2 or 3 miles later, that I am going the oposite way. I changed my home address to Houston and it didn't make a difference. Anyone out there can help with this?

Thank you.

When did you last connect your unit to obtain the Quick GPSFix data?

Recommendation:

Delete all of the contents of the folder called "ephem" on your TomTom.
Connect to TomTom using Home, and get a new GPSFix file.

Let us know how you do after that.

just a small added thing is to make sure you do not have more the 3-4 poi's showing on your maps at one time
That can slow down the map update while he drives, but should have no impact on how fast he acquires satellite lock.
