GO 600 feature set upgraded?

When the Go 600 came out there was speculation TT might upgrade the feature set.

1. Does the newest firmware Go 600 still lack features I have on my old XXL 540 TM, such as lifetime speed cameras, user POIs, and other features that we may have expected TT to add back to this model.

2. Can I search for a destination using google on my phone, then send that destination to the Go 600 similarly to sending a destination to Google maps or Waze apps that are loaded on the phone?

3. Is the Go 600 being discontinued / replaced by the Go 610? Does that model have lifetime speedcams and user POI features?

4. Is the Go 610 a Euro only model?


I love TT's maps and routing, so I hope the newest firmware will allow me to retire my beloved XXL!

I impulse bought a GO 600 on sale the other day, but haven't opened the package. I like having lifetime speed cams, my added POI's, etc., on my old XXL 540 TM. If TT requires an ongoing subscription cost for speedcams, I may return it un-opened despite paying only $108.


I have been using my old xxl 540, and supplementing the traffic info with WAZE / Google maps apps on a Galaxy S4 phone. I keep a second phone in the car for calls.

1. The 600 comes with 3 months of speed cameras. So far, no user pois as with the 540. You CAN load custom pois BUT, so far, they don't show on the map, you can't add either an associated bmp or sound.

2. You can add a destination using MyDrive on your phone.

3. The 610 has world maps (but upgrading is only for the region where the device was first purchased). Also, I believe, lifetime speed cameras for region the device was purchased. Poi limitation is the same as for the 600.

4. Don't think so.

AFAIK, the 510 and 610 (aka GO 610 World) are being sold everywhere EXCEPT for North America. Where you can buy it, it comes with both lifetime maps AND speed cameras.
