GO 520 wont update

first time posting hoping for some advice before sending my unit off for repair

error says;

and no i blooming well didnt back it up after installing new map

I'd think the error is in not able to read properly a ov2 file called Blitzer_ DE_TomTomOv2.ver

Do you have a custom ov2 file you added by the name of Blitzer_ DE_TomTom.Ov2. by any chance?

The error mesage you listed above clearly states you have the UK&ROI map installed to the device (as expected with a 520 as it only contains regional maps), or at least thats the map folder Home is installing the camera POI files to, in this case German camera locations are a waste of time as Germany isn't on your map - I wouldn't bother about it if I were you - Mike

Use Explorer to find a file by that name (probably in the map folder) and delete it. As Mike points out, it's of no value to you anyway.

deleted the file and its updating nicely now thanks. and backed up of course too!

ysterday it wouldnt update the map download, so unchecked that, updated everything else, backed it up and thougth i'd try again today

It may indeed be that the server is busy as many are attempting a map download. As suggested, try again a little later and see if you can get the dl
