go 520 no GPS

A friend of mine has a GO520 which he's asked me to look at as it won't pick up a GPS signal any more. I have connected to Home and updated what I could, reset the device but to no avail. It's using version 8.351 and I have deleted the contents in the ephemeris folder but get an error message in Home when I try to update so I re-instated the contents back again.

Screen just sits there saying waiting for valid GPS signal. Anyone have any suggestions please>

What error are you seeing in Home?

It's a full page of code. But since I put everything back in the directories there's no error and update says everything is up to date.

I checked the GPS window and the cicle top right corner is looking for signal.
