go 1005 camper ,screen unresponsive

hi,i have just replaced the battery onmy tom tom .but now the touchscreen will not work. everything else works fine.
not alot off good as i cannot set a route. i have tried a soft and hard reset .but when i try the hard reset .it will not connect to home go .so i cannot update the software.any ideas out there will be greatly appreciated.

Problem is probably related to the flex cable between the touchscreen and the motherboard. Did you disconnect it during disassembly when replacing the battery?
