Getting more stock POIs to show up?

I just noticed today after 3 weeks that when I search for a category of POIs in any given area, only a few pages show up. For example, I searched for all restaurants (a stock POI) in my city (a suburb of a major metropolitan area), and only about 20-30 showed up. That covered a radius of about 1 mile. I mean, surely I can search for a wider radius than that!!

For comparison purposes, the Nuvi 200 I bought my parents can go on for much, much longer. If you choose even "Asian restaurants" in a given area, you can keep on scrolling down until you essentially cover the whole city and beyond.

I might have been mistaken, but I vaguely remember the TomTom ONE being able to do this as well, but maybe I never tried. For what it's worth, mine is an LE model, 7.162, Map 710.
