G700 mobile volume

I have just aquired my G700 and after hooking up the phone and a external microphone, I find that the volume is too low for me to hear. I have the system volume as loud as possible and the directions I receive are very good. I cannot however hear the phone loud enough. I have checked the system settings but am not able to see how to increase the volume. Any ideas?

What firmwire version are you using?

when you are recieving a call tap the bottom of the screen
this brings up the volume bar , you can then increase or decrease volume
its not altered in the normal volume menu
