Frozen Screen!!!

After updating my tomtom one gps, and downloading a couple new voices, my gps froze on the start up screen. I tried pushing the power button but that did no good. The only way I can turn it off is by hitting the reset button, but then when I turn it on again, it goes right back to the start up screen. How do i get it to work again???

That error does not necessarily mean a map is not on your unit, just that the operating system can't find it. I'd send you a link from TomTom addressing this issue but, for some reason, the support links aren't working right now.

Use Explorer to look at the contents of your unit. Do you see a specif map folder with file in there? (Folder probably called North America or USA& Canada?

Also, give support a call at 866-486-6866.

I did everything it said to do there but now when I turn on my gps, it says "No Maps Found"... did i just get the jacked up gps out of the group or is there an easy fix to this:confused:... and I refuse to buy another map for $70. :(

When you follow these steps, sometimes HOME only upgrades you to app 7.4. That app can't see the latest maps. Try disconnecting properly using the blue button in the lower right of HOME, doing a pin reset and then plug back into HOME. Try to update again and you should get app 7.9 or later (depending on your model).

After getting the later app, you should be able to see your maps.

If the tomtom starts looping with the latest application, go to Operate my ONE in HOME and see if the emulator starts up. If so, add a favorite and then close out the emulator. Then disconnect properly (blue button) and see if everything works.

If it doesn't, post back as there are more steps you can try. Also tomtom phone support will walk you through the same steps (except they don't tell you the add-a-favorite trick).
