Hi, This is probably an repeated question but I just can't find any info on it. Is there anyway to enter an address with a free way as a street name?
Eg. Carrino's in Austin, TX

12901 N I-35 Service Road
Austin, TX

OR

2600 N. IH-35
Round Rock, TX

It tells me "House number not available for this street" and it happens to all my address that is on a freeway. Please help.

Thanks

FYI, I'm using TomTom Navigator 7.45 On Windows Mobile 2003SE and the map used is North America 720.1803. However, I also had the same issue on Navigator 6.

I was able to enter address as follows:

TX
Austin
I started typing Service and picked the following from the list:
I 35 Service Rd N (73753)
I was also able to type that name directly and find it.
It then let me enter the address

For the other address, I typed in 35 as the street name and picked
N I H 35 Frontage Rd from the list
(Probably could have typed Frontage like I did "Service" on the first address)
Anyways...after picking this road it prompted me for the address and I put in 2600.
My map didn't like it, but it is because my map currently defines valid addresses on this road as in the range of 13700 - 17198.

You could submit a MapShare update to expand the range by "report other error" and then correcting an "existing street" ...and then select "wrong or missing house numbers" and update the range....Then just sit back and wait a few years and that might actually get updated....

Ugh. Don't remind me. Last time I was in Austin I had the same problem. I opted to try to navigate using intersections instead, e.g. called up the destination and asked for the nearest intersection.

Tim25 has the right idea, but I discovered "Frontage" or "Service" road isn't always available on I-35 and Hwy 71. So what I would sometimes do is ask the GPS for the list of intersections to a road I *know* meets up with, e.g. I-35 by first searching for the intersecting road name, then search for "35". There I could get a list of recognized cross-streets containing 35. Ignore things like 35th St and then start poking around and see if one of those other I-35 intersecting streets accepts street numbers. Time-consuming and grueling at times.

Now... that was with map 710 back in April. Hopefully by now it's a little better.
