Formatted 140s...Now What?

I had a number of unusual files on my TomTom 140s. I wasn't able to delete them, so I ended up having to format the device.

After about 7 hours, it's finally done. I've read suggestions about reinstalling the map and then running TomTom Home, but I want to make sure before I waste several more hours.

I did an explorer backup with hidden files turned on, but I'd want to start out fresh if I can. I have the revised 1.35 map as well.

Can anyone give me a step by step procedure?

I reformatted my 104s too. no need to install anything. just connect Home and it'll give you all the available updates including the map. I selected everything else but the map. after the update, I then reinstall the map from the computer (to save time downloading again). after that, everything should be back to normal.

I'll admit it...I'm a little impatient. I started before I saw the replies. Thanks for the help though!! At least I know I'm heading in the right direction.

Oh and, yes, I did mean the 835 map.

1. I added a subfolder for the map using the same folder name as the map stored on my computer

2. Connected to TomTom home and downloaded & installed the TomTom application and voices I wanted. (I actually had to run the install twice to get it to work and finish the install)

3. In TomTom Home I clicked "Add Maps" and am adding the new 8.35 map now
