Remove the "/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/MRJPlugin.plugin" file.
This was causing every recent (2.X) version of TomTom HOME to crash when it tried to connect to the device for update purposes. It would run if the device wasn't connected when it launched, or if you tried to view the contents of the device and then connected it. But if it was connected at launch, or if you clicked "Back" after viewing the contents, you'd get the SPOD and then a crash.
An old (1.5) version would run, but it mis-identified my device as a GO, so I was afraid to use it to update the device. Interestingly, that was the version that came pre-installed on the device!
TomTom Support was no help; they offered no solutions, then marked the case "Solved". I offered to send them a crash dump, but they weren't interested. MRJPlugin was prominent in the traceback, so I removed it and TomTom HOME runs fine now.
