Favorites full

I am wondering if there is a way I can save my favorites to a sd card as I have 48 favorite locations and need to put more in, as the GPS said favorites are full. This is a question I specificly asked when I purchased it from Future Shop, they had told me as many as I can put in !!! WRONG 48 only !!! I am thinking of returning it to them or is there any one who can help me out ??? I have a go720.

It seems that what most people have done when running into this issue is to save all of your favorites under a POI category named 'Favorites'. This way you can have hundreds (almost unlimited) favorites. I think that there is a tutorial on this site that tells you how to do this.

Have you checked for an exisitng POI file for fire halls? I see that a few are available. Yes you can label them and even add a phone number if you wish.

Just remember, the name will show as the favourite --- not the address.

And to make the custom POI file allways apear at the top of the list name it "_My_Favourites" (without the "" but notice the underscore infront of the name, the device interprets this as before any number or letter so you get your file name at the top of the index page all the time - Mike

After you made POIs of them all, open them with TYRE, go to Edit address. Tyre seem to keep the coordinates in a different register from the typed address. This will allow you to put a name in front of the street address for fast recognition (city, neighbourhood, hall number, etc.).
When looking at the listing in a POI category, remember that sorting is not done alphabetically but by distance from current location.

This may have been a question of semantics.
The non user sales person assuming that POIs and Favourites are the same.
I have seen salesmen giving wrong advise.
Let's face it, if they really knew it all we wouldn't need this forum or its moderators to help us.
There is just too flaming much built into the devices and once we catch on to something TomTom goes and screws around with the OS.

I took a look at the POI on my Tomtom 630, and the firehalls are already in a POI group. You might have to add a few, but most should be there.
