Favorite 730 mods

I just ordered a 730 as an upgrade to my 130, and while waiting I figured it would be good to find out some of the most popular mods and tweeks to get an idea of what I can actually do with the thing. Also, what is the largest SD card you can put in the 730? I ordered a 16gb card to use with it, but have an 8gb laying around if that's as large as it will accept. I already searched this thread title and didn't come up with anything cause I know what it's like to beat a dead horse on the forums. LOL. Figured it'd be a list that people could use in the future.

The first thing I did to my 730 was to do a complete Explorer backup as described in the 'stickys'. Then I changed out the POI files with the full 835 POI files. I then added an 8GB SD card (32GB max) and moved the map directory to the card. This allowed me to add more voices and other stuff to the internal memory. I am then going to add about 5GB of mp3 files to the card.

So far all is working OK.

Wow, one person has something that they like on their TomTom 730. So far I've only changed the symbols and screens. It's a nice device though.

Don't understand your point. You got good feedback from Spook. For stuff to try on your 730, look in the 3rd party software forum and you'll see lots you can try.

I agree with exactly what spook45 said, so didn't bother posting saying "me too". I'm sure others felt the same, so don't be too discouraged with the few posts.
