Failure to synchronize between device and server

Good evening everyone !
I need your help for my Tom go 6000 premium (year 2021) . Unfortunately from last April/May onwards all my positions that I store on the device are no longer synchronized on the TOM PLANS server where there are now about 1000 positions less !
Also viceversa same problem . The locations that I store via mydrive or tomplans then do not find them on the device.
I have done all the relevant tests and in all possible ways .
I specify that until last May everything worked perfectly .
The only solution that I did not want to try yet is the total restoration of the device because if I did that I would lose all the locations that I have stored from May onwards on the device and that right now are only there !
I specify again that this device is always up to date, wifi works regularly as does traffic and everything else. The device is also recognized by the pc when I put the usb cable . The maps also work as well as ever , I can change , replace and update them without any problem .
Even in practical use , driving , the device is fully functional.
The problem is only the synchronization of my favorite locations . What more can I try ? bye.... thank you !
 
Need to ask first whether those 1000+ locations are stored as 'favorites' or custom POI (*.ov2).
If they are *.ov2, do you have the tool you originally used to create them?

In my opinion, it is your login ID (email address or password) to your Tomtom account that is not correct in the Tomtom service on the GPS. Log out and then log back in with the correct credentials.

If still the same problem, the only solution is to reset the device to factory settings.

hello thank you, I have tried several times this operation but it still does not sync . I would like to do total device reset but then I lose my places stored on the device. I would like to save them somewhere first, is there not a way to do this ?

Good morning , yes that's right . What I store on the device stays only on the device and what I store a from the pc (tomplans) stays only there . Since last May there is no more communication between the 2 . I am attaching 2 photos . the no.3 is the screen of the device with various locations stored . No.4 is the screen of the pc / tomplans where you can see that in the same exact spot there is only one position which is the one I stored from the pc. On the other hand, as far as the saving modes are concerned, my tom 6000 does not provide 2 saving possibilities but only one . That is, when I identify an address that I want to save the only possibility I have is what is traduced in English as “ADD TO MY PLACE” . I attach photo n. 9 for more precision . For me the point that would be important to understand is why it worked until May i.e. for 4 years and then it stopped this synchronization ? if I understood this I could try some solution more easily. Hello, i attache 2 foto . the n. 11 is the access login to the pc tomplans and the foto 12 is the login screen in the gps . If you mean these 2 , yes i use for both of them same email and password. Log in e log off many times but zero sincronize. In several kind situation ( indoor,out door etc etc etc ) ! no works unfortunately...but until last may yes. that s the trouble. I d like what chenged. I asked to TOM assistance but they couldnt fix the situation....nobody knows !

A factory reset might have helped, but since you have a lot of favorites, you might lose everything.
 
Hello everyone , in the meantime I have made several attempts including a total reset going back to factory settings but unfortunately nothing has changed. Still no synchronization of “my places” between device and “tomplans” ! I was able to do various tests though, thanks to which I was able to see various aspects, although not yet solve the problem .
In fact I got myself another TOM device which I tried to associate with my usual TomTom account and it syncs perfectly .
Then I tried using the old device with the new account and again everything works perfectly .
Of all the possible crossovers then the only one that doesn't work is just the synchronization between the old device and the usual account .
At this point I can't figure out what the problem might be . In fact it can't be my device because with a new account it works fine .
But it can't be my account the problem either because on another device it works regularly . What do you think ?
I had hypothesized that the problem could be the fact that on my usual account there are about 2000/3000 “my places” while on the new accunt there are none so it's lighter but now seeing that on the new device it works perfectly and fast , also falls this hypothesis.
I have to think only an incompatibility between this device of mine and my usual account but I would like to understand what is the error or problematic setting so that I attempt a resolution.Thank you
 
What can prevent your GPS from synchronizing your places with Plan-Tomtom.
It is your connection identifiers of your GPS with Plan-Tomtom that are not correct.
If you say you have done a factory reset, then you reconnect with the correct identifiers, it should work.

hello, yes I have tried many times to put username and password back but it never tells me they are wrong, it lets me log in but then it doesn't sync. If I enter a wrong password or email instead it tells me right away that something is wrong . I also tried connecting with the cable , through my drive, a thousand ways but there was nothing to do. It's the strangest situation. the incompatibility is only between an account and a device. In all other cases they work perfectly. But unfortunately all my places are just on that account and I want to use just that device ( which has traffic services for life ! ) thanks, regards
