External Microphone on Go 720

Hi, is there a way to enhance the built-in microphone that comes with the 720, such as adding an external Mic or something similar?

Playing phone calls on external speakers on Go 720

I'm using the line-out connection between my Go 720 and car stereo - all music stored on my 720 comes out of my car speakers, as well as routing instructions - the only thing that still comes out of it's internal speaker are phone calls. I have firmware 8.010.
I have read some threads about adding a file in the root directory, but that hasn't done it.
Does anyone know if it will be released soon on a new firmware version?

I'm wondering the same thing about the microphone. It does a terrible job with the paired phone.
