estimate for cost of base map when subscribing

Just a quick question about the map service.

I'd like to subscribe to the map service, especially since they're offering the 6-for-4 special. I'm a little concerned about how much the base map will cost me to start using the subscription. I'm guessing it depends on which map I have installed currently, but is there a way to determine the total cost for me to subscribe? What is the norm to update the map and subscribe to the map service?

Money's a little tight after paying real estate and property taxes last month.

Plug your device in to the computer and ask Home to update it, once the application is up to date select the map update option and Home will show you the price for the baseline update plus the cost of the map update subscription, you can only purchase this as a single line item which generally works out cheaper than the cost of purchasing the map!
