Please provide more information.........

When you try to upgrade the 720 with what? An application update or a map update?

HOW did you do whatever update you did? Using Home?

What error are you seeing when you turn on the unit?

pff... i instal and i used tom tom home... and apeer new upgrade available... and i download it. After i install them... and now don`t work anything. I look on web and i found something like: delete the map in you`r device after u select upgrade device... i do this and a litlle early i give one restart to tomtom becouse don`t open up... i thik i will remove oll data and i put it back... but i don`t know if i found the corect data for him... i realy don`t now... :(

i copy the maps in computer and if y want to put it back in tom tom memory he asked me to product code to go online and activate wester europe... have ideea what i shoud do?

Sorry, I am having difficulty following what you are trying to say....

Do you have a backup of your unit's contents?

Does your unit start up when not connected to the computer?

Oky... i don`t know very good english... tom tom don`t started at oll, don`t start on conect to computer ... don`t stard if i just turn on him self... ok that i fixed. Now the part with backup, i have done a backup on tomtom files but i do this after i do the upgrade (upgrade ho don`t work) and now i started again at the beaginning: the tomtom software don`t see the maps :)

i can`t bealive... now i make some changes and i see the maps western europe and the another one western and central europe and now apeer on tom tom displey this messege: u can`t use map on this device... i think that only i need now is 2 good maps... i don`t know :(

"You can't use this map on your device" usually shows up if you copied a map from someone else's Tomtom. Maps are serial-number locked, you have to purchase them separately for each individual Tomtom unit. Sometimes the "No maps found" is a symptom of the same thing.

If you bought your Tomtom second-hand, there's a good chance the maps it came with were pirated, and the newer application upgrade recognized the pirated maps and refused to load them.

If you bought your Tomtom from a Tomtom-approved retailer, call up Tomtom tech support and see if they can correct/reinstall your maps.
