Hi,

I have a tomtom xl340s. I tried to update the maps on the gps but an error was encountered. I turned on the gps and found out there was no longer a map loaded. I have tried to restore a backup multiple times but with no success. Here is the error I receive:

ERROR: DesktopLib/FileCopy/Error: An error occurred. Unable to create the files required to copy this item to your computer.
@ .\controller\FileCopyThread.cpp(137)
An error occurred while reading this file: "C:\Documents\TomTom\HOME\Backup\ONE XL\Backup02\InternalMemory\USA_Canada_and_Mexico_P\cline.dat"
An error occurred while writing to this file: "H:\USA_Canada_and_Mexico_P\cline.dat"

2. chrome://tthome/content/logic/util.js:79

3. chrome://tthome/content/logic/dllUtils.js:77
this._errorCallback(e);
4. chrome://tthome/content/logic/dllUtils.js:69
this._errorFatal(error);

Any suggestions on how I can bypass this issue?

Thanks

Was the backup made by Home or Explorer? I fear the former by the looks of it.

Try using Explorer to copy back the complete map folder and its contents.

I have the same problem after trying to update my Rider2.
Unfortunately TomTom seem to set some data so the Home thinks the update is done, even if the update actually fails!

I notice we have basically the same error
