Hello good afternoon!

This morning I used my TomTom and noticed an error in the map. I'll try to explain the best I can.

You see the black arrows? (yes, I forgot the bold, sorry about that) The green stripe on the road is Estrada da Arcena and there is a turn where is the arrows, but on the map that turn doesn't exists. Can anyone help me to report the error, I've seen the options and I've tried most of them bue none seems to correct the error.

Thanks in advance, sorry if I haven't explained myself clearly, any question don't hesitate please.

For physical changes to a map (like reporting a road that doesn't show) you can only report it under map corrections and arrow right to 'other corrections'.

Further, you may wish to look at the information in this link courtesy of gpsreview.net

Thanks dhn, as always:)

I've done the first option you presented, and done everything right, I think.

Do you know how much time does it passes before the error is corrected? a week, a month?

Thanks for the help by the way

The truth? By the time the mapping company makes the change, the gps company buys the map update and implements the coding on its part, the changed roads may appear in the next map update or not appear for years!

As the link I gave you said.........it may take a lot of time to be implemented.

Really? That's a kind of turn off for me, that's the most important feature for me in a gps, otherwise I'de stick with the paper map and buy one every year...

Is it really true it can be out of date for years?

Some roads unfortunately are ........that's the reality.

Presumably, fewer and fewer with every update.

Map 830 was the first that TT specifically said incorporated mapshare changes provided by users........

And, every map IS overall an improvement over the previous version. It's just that some things slip by.

Well...ok, you might be right, it's a big world with lot's of road soo...

I'll keep my finger's crossed anyway.

Thanks for all the help dhn
