Someone in LA said he cannot get any closer POIs than about 600 miles away.
I tried to Navigate to ... City Center and get

LA_Error.jpg

Tried SF and Klamath Falls, OR and every thing works fine there but not to LA!

Don't really think there is any connection but after updating to HOME 2.7.4 yesterday I couldn't open my NA map. No problem switching to the W&CE but switching to NA I got this:

OperateGO_2-7-4.jpg

Couldn't get out of it by copying my BY NA map but, after removing the unit from the cradle and accepting the caution note it allowed me to switch to the NA map.
Putting it back in the cradle everything remained OK.

Don't know what to tell you, Arno......

I have the new home application installed and did NOT get the error about the NA map 845 using the emulator on my 720.

Also, switched sdhc card to where my Western_Europe 840 map is installed. Again, no issues with the emulator.

The only thing I can see, if it makes a difference (and if the data on the screen capture is correct), is that I have app 8.351 installed while you've reverted to 8.302.

Hi Arno,

No problems at all with my 930 too.

My guess is that you had an app crash and got the filesystem corrupted on the Tomtom.

Try a chkdsk /f /r, and then manually recopy and overwrite the map per these instructions.

Well, about an hour ago I made a disttance/time test Prepare route A..B Chicago - Denver.

Now, reading your post I was going to say I am too busy to follow those instructions for the next three days because of DoorsOpenToronto but then decided to give it another try.
Seems to work fine now.
Thank you and dhn.

Arno, my house backs onto the CN tracks going from downtown north.

Some years ago, forget the holiday, they used to send a steam engine along the tracks. Quite a site, quite a spectacle. quite the noise! :D

I miss it.
