Error downloading map

I just got a Tomtom and had plugged it into my computer to update the maps and everything and it was taking longer than I thought and I needed it to use it so I clicked "abort" and ejected the device then unplugged it but when i tried to use it it said you cannot use this map on this device: USA_Canada_and_Mexico_P-261.

As you can probably already tell since I unplugged a device in the middle of it updating, I'm not exactly the best with technology so I'd really appreciate some help?

Use Explorer to make a backup now. Don't use Home. If not sure how, see here:

Then look here:
C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Downloads\complete\maps\

Do you see a file with the extension of .cab such as USA_Canada_Mexico.cab?

And follow the instructions in that link

Do NOT disconnect the unit from the computer until the install is complete and then MAKE SURE you use the Hardware Disconnect icon in the notification area (bottom right of your task bar) to do so.......
