Entering Lat/Long Coordinates w Navigator 6

I imagined that I would be able to enter a specific location of known Latitude and Longitude, and then tell TomTom to navigate. However, on my Navigator 6, I find all relevant menus grayed-out, with and without an active GPS signal.

I've scoured this forum for all references to Latitude and Coordinates, and have found nothing of help. Other TomTom applications (i.e., devices) seem to have the capability I'm expecting with Navigator 6.

EXAMPLE: Advance Planning allows me to select "GPS Position" (meaning my CURRENT location), "Contact," and "Point on Map." Both TomTom Buddy and Latitude Longitude are gray.

What am I missing other than an expected feature?

Try this, it took me a while to figure it out.....
Press: Add Favourite
Press: the blue triange
The GPS arrow should now be highlighted.
Press it, add a name and you're done.
