The ad's say that you can plan your route on your PC(support calls this the "Emulator". It doesn't work on my Rider 2 and so far support has been unable to get it working. Latest was that it doesn't work with Navteq maps.
I'm pretty frustrated about the emulator not working. That was one of the main reasons I bought a Rider2.
Also, has anyone been able to plan their trip with MS Streets & Trips and then get the route and waypoints into the GPS.
Thanks!

I remember this working with my Rider 1 and it must have been on a PC. I know it is not supported on the R2 on MAc OS (it may be that the emulator is not supported at all on Mac - not sure).

It's a problem because using the emulator comes in handy.

There are a number of different ways to plan trips on the computer and transfer the files to your Rider. Almost any package that will output a standard GPS file (.gdb. .gpx etc...) can be converted into a TomTom .ITN or other TT formatted file. I won't say that there aren't issues here and there but it's doable.

The "TYRE" application is a very nice Google Earth/Google Maps to TomTom map creation package you might want to look at. http://www.janboersma.nl/gett/index.php

Hope this helps a little.
