Downloading new Maps

Is there any particular reason why the Map download is so darn slow from TT? I have a pretty darn fast connection (I average 8Mbps down) but the v710 map from TT has taken well over 2 hours and is still not done. This isn't my connection, so I suspect it's TTs servers. I can download multi Gb movies in significantly less time than this 1.7Gb map download.

Is it always like this?

Yes, it is.......TT's servers are notoriously slow. Many try to dl in the early hours of the morning when demand may be less. Problem is, early hours in Europe or early hours in NA? Not sure.
