Downloading MapQuest Route Onto GPS

I have a TomTom One XL and I want to download a route from MapQuest to it. I had MapQuest generate a .gpx file of said route but I am not certain of how to load it onto the device. Any and all help would be very much appreciated.

Try "Tyre".
This free program can import Garmin .gpx files and export them as Tomtom .itn itinerary files.

.itn files can be used on MOST TomToms (those with the itinerary function on the main menu), but not the simplest ones or the latest Go1000/2000 and Via models.
I think you are OK with the One XL.
