tom tom home has a page to plan a route. can I download this to the GPS? how? don't see any link.
if not, why would I plan a route on the computer??

You can't download routes from the route planner. Though you can download destinations by clicking on the pushpin, and the Tomtom should plan a similar route (unless traffic has changed). You could check drive time before you leave the house so you know when to leave.

So far, the biggest value of the route planner is that new customers can test the quality of Tomtom routing before purchasing a device.
