My Home 2 wants to update but every time i try it reverts to the old issue.
After 6 days tomtom have been unable to solve the problem ! I have sent them all the info they have asked for. I have carried out all the deletes that they suggested and even more. including "regedit". I have deleted all the backups that are on another harddrive. still no joy!

To crown it all they now tell me that the 1 year map update i paid ?71 in November 2009 has expired.

Have any of you got any suggestion or help to offer please!!!

Thank You

What device do you have and is it the only TomTom you have ever owned?

I know these might seem strange questions but the server at TT HQ is known for screwing up when multiple devices are asigned to the same e-mail address as a previous unit (anything sounding familure) - Mike

I only have the one device a 720. Its worked before with update.
Its just that tomtom do not seem to have an answer and the other point is about my update licence.
but that may get sorted when i can update OK.

I did send it back for a repair and i was wondering if i got the same one back and the seriel numbers do not match.

Tap the satellite bars and tell me the version number of the application installed, please.

in answer to your question i have found the following data
App8.351 (9982/090518 GPSv.1.20 Boot5.5120
Western Europe v815.2003.

I actually think i have the lasest up date as i was up half the night!
I suddenly had a brain wave after my 3rd coffee and loaded the data into c:/newtomtom/tomtom Home 2
I have used a program Internet download manager and i finanlly found where it stored its data and found 3 copies of the new update.
With these all deleted and the new folder i have got the update i wanted.
I am still very surprised how tomtom came to be so baffled by my problem i reported on the 26th June.

STill all seems well at the moment

Regards
