Does the screen dims on 340, 540 or 550 when charging?

The header says it all.

I have a nuvi 1300 and the screen dims when the car-charger is plugged in and as a result it's only viewable at night and not during the day. Do the 340, 540 or the 550 have the same problem or can you use them during the day when they are charging?

There is no dimming in the day when charging for those models.

Amazon has the xxl550m for just over $108 with free shipping. Since I don't do much of customizing, I hope it will be OK.

It just arrived. The first thing I've noticed is that it take longer to initialize than the nuvi 1300. But the biggest bonus, it doesn't dim when plugged in. Who was the retard that made that on the nuvi?
