Do lifetime maps transfer to a new owner?

Hello everybody. I'm wondering about TomTom's policy when models like the Go 520 change hands. If someone registers a unit and later gives it away or sells it, would the new owner be able to access the lifetime maps? Thanks for any clarification on this.

Yes, if you have a device with lifetime maps you give it away or sell it the new owner will still have the lifetime maps.
