Anyone one know how to "physically" tell a TOMTOM 130 from a TOMTOM 130S? Recently bought 2 used TOMTOM's & dont know if I'm getting ripped off(?) Both units have the the letters "PH" in the serial #. The 1st TomTom was claimed to be a 130S but when it arrived & I updated it...it performed as a 130 w/out the TEXT-TO-SPEECH feature. The 2nd TOMTOM I bought has some startup issues Im attempting to fix, so I've yet to determine if the 2nd tomtom is a true 130S or just a 130(?) Why would TomTom NOT provide a physically distinguishable mark or indicator between the 130 & 130S units ???

Went to the link (btw thanks!) and the serial # verifier returned the following... "ONE (30 Series) TTS* / 125S / 130S - 1GB). Question is, does this confirm 100% I have a 130S or will a TomTom Rep tell me their serial checker doesn't actually distinguish a 130S from a 130? I checked the serial # on my 2nd (glitchy) TomTom & that also showed a "ONE (30 Series) TTS* / 125S / 130S - 1GB). I don't understand why the TEXT-TO-SPEECH feature's NOT functioning if I actually do have a 130S.....especially after I had already spoken with w/customer service to replace an operating file & a missing map! Wouldn't they have known I had a 130S & provided the appropriate files? Even if customer support missed this, shouldn't the TomTom HOME update page have discovered my 130S was operating as a 130? Something just doesn't add up here!

Are you aware that the text to speech feature only works with installed computer voices? Most voices on the unit are not computer voices.

WOW THANKS! Did not know TomTom "INSTALLED VOICES" were required to use the TEXT-T0-SPEECH feature. Niether of my used TomTom's included the manuals... figured the text to speech feature was straight forward as any other feature on TomTom 's I've owned in the past  (Seems TomTom should've inlcuded an asterisk next to the TEXT-TO-SPEECH feature on ther packaging info and/or wesite since this feature might end up requiring owners additional downloads & fees(?)

Thanks! (Have had the link for the manuals for quite some time) BTW - Really appreciated that link for the serial # verifier!
