I've been living with this issue for so long, I'd almost forgot about it until today... just one of those annoying things that becomes background noise...
In my area, we have a great many exit-only lanes that are created on our interstates. Every time I get within 1/2 a mile of one, Susie INSISTS on warning me to "keep left" -- not always the wisest move when my next exit on an 8 lane is only a mile away, but I understand what she's trying to warn me about... to stay out of the exit-only lane.
Problem is, MOST of our in-town exits are of this sort, and the constant nagging me regarding lane position drives me nuts.
From the beginning, I had assumed that checking the "Disable 'keep to highway lane" instructions'" would eliminate that warning, but it never has made any difference. If not for this purpose, what does that checkbox accomplish, and is there an alternate means for shutting off the lane nag? It's been this way from Navcore 7 forward, and remained even at 8.3 (for as long as I ran it, anyway).
