TomTom Model(s)
Go Expert 6"
I purchased a GO EXPERT 6 exactly 1 year ago from TomTom store on Amazon. Device has had minimal use the past year. Battery was extremely low so I plugged into the PC to charge. After 2 days of charging, the device will not turn on. Tried to start it in my truck, won't turn on. Put it on wall charger for a day, won't turn on. Tried to get help from TomTom support online with no success. Tried to start a repair ticket and was informed by the website virtual assistant that my unit is out-of-warranty. Website states warranty is good for 2 years, unit is 1 year old. Can't email, chat, or call a support rep. I guess I have to go back to Garmin devices since there is absolutely no support from TOMTOM. You don't get much support from Garmin either, but at least their devices last longer than a year.

I don't think your device is dead.

After charging it on a smartphone mains charger.

Press the on/off button until you hear the sound of the tom-tom and the device restarts.

I have exactly the same problem with my Tom Tom Go Camper Tour. I bought it last year in October on Amazon. I tried every thing linke you, but it is not opened. I did not find any solution. My warranty still okey.

If you have recharged the battery on a smartphone mains charger for at least 2 hours.

If you have forced the GPS to turn back on by pressing the on/off button until the GPS turns back on.

If after that you still have the same problem contact customer service to request a repair.

Very important attach the purchase invoice.

So I have followed all instructions provided by Tom Tom customer service, completing them 2 weeks ago. I have replied to their emails twice in the past 2 weeks requesting status about a repair and get no response. Does anyone know of a GPS repair shop in San Diego County? I'm leaving on a big trip in 2 weeks and need to have a GPS in my truck. Since it appears Tom Tom isn't going to honor the warranty, I'll just get it repaired wherever.
