dead via live

I have just come back from Germany
I took my via live and go 700.
From the time I left home till I got back the via live still showed my address & could not find a valid gps signal whilst my go 700 worked perfectly
Has my via live packed up

When you click on Settings--Me and my device-->About my device, what does the value show for the second row (App)??

You need to connect to MyTomTom (get it at tomtom.com/getstarted) and connect your unit to the computer.

When you get to the MyTomTom screen on your computer, a new application (that fixes a gps bug still on your version) will be offered under 'get new items'.

Download it to your unit.
