Hi Kim, I answered a bit in your other post, but I'll post more specific info here:

You can use Windows Explorer.

If you have a TomTom Go (which I am assuming you do since you are posting in the 720 forum) follow this procedure:
* With your TomTom NOT plugged into the PC, push the SD card into the TomTom's SD slot
* Plug the TomTom into the PC
* Turn ON the TomTom
* Once the TomTom is connected, startup Windows Explorer
* You should see two new drives in Windows Explorer under "My Computer"
---one is your Internal memory of the TomTom and the other is the SD card
* You can simply select all the files from your internal memory and copy them over to the new SD card
* Once copied, you'll want to copy all the files to a directory on your PC as well to make sure you have a backup.

If you don't have files on the TomTom's internal memory and you have a backup, you can also simply copy all the files on the PC folder onto the Drive that shows up as your SD card in Windows Explorer.

I don't see any new drives at all! My SD card was already in my TomTom.

I found TomTom (G:) and removeable Disk (F:). TomTom G: seems to have all of my files on it! Do I just highlight everything in G:, and copy and paste it to F:?

If that's what you want to do, it'll work. But I'm curious as to why you'd want everything on the card.... a map, I understand. Perhaps a bunch of mp3s for space saving as well. But everything??!!

You do know that, with a x20 model, if you copy just the map folder, it'll work as well as if the map were on internal memory.

Anway.......yep, just copy everything. I'd also recommend that you use Explorer to copy everything in the unit to the hard drive as a backup. Make sure hidden folders/files are showing as are extensions for known file types.

Then, if you happen to lose the sd card, you simply can copy everything back from the backup; otherwise.......you'd not find yourself in a good situation ..
