Connect to Phone in Operate my GO

When I use "Operate My Go" in Home and try to use plus services (weather, etc) it says "Connect to Phone...." which of course cannot be done in this mode. I never had that problem with a 910, but a 920 with app 8.01 does.

I think this was covered before, but I have searched and cannot find it.
 
In Home 2.3, there was a flaw such that, using Operate My Go, one could retrieve the weather, even though one didn't really have a subscription.

Assume 2.4 shut down that flaw.
 
I di not make myself clear I guess. With my 910, I could always operate traffic and other Plus services online through "Operate My Device" This was with all versions of Home (1xx abd 2xx).

Now when I try to do anything, it simply says "Connect to phone...." rather then using the internet connection like I did before, and ( cannot do anything - either on 2.3 (on another computer) or 2.4.

I had seen an earlier post on this a while back, but I cannot find it.
 
I was the OP last time about this problem. Sadly to say, it still does not work even with Home 2.4 Still cannot access any services when online and using 'Operate My Go'. Keeps saying that a phone connection is needed to access any of the services. I still am able to access any of the free services when using my AT&T Tilt connection.
 
TomTom support told me it should not work through Home - but that makes little sense. Has anyone been able to do so with 720/920 and recent applications (7.48 and 8.01) ?
