Connect c TomTom.com

When you say you can't connect, are you saying you are connecting your TomTom to Home which is installed on your computer and you are trying to do so in all these locations?

If so, what happens when you try? Can you connect to TomTom's web site using your browser and not using Home? If so, is your account information correct the way it was set up at TomTom.com? (proper email address)

Try a pin reset on your unit. If that doesn't help, and if you CAN connect to tomtom.com using your browser, then the issue seems to be with some corrupt file in Home, it would appear. Try uninstalling Home completely and going to tomtom.com using your browser and downloading the latest version of Home from there (it's a free download).

You should NOT need to stop your anti virus s/w; in fact, it's a bad idea to do so whenever you are on the internet.

If you CAN'T even get to tomtom.com using your browser, then perhaps, somehow, you have your firewall (if one exists) blocking the site.

Anyway, things to try..........

Strange. Several friend I know wich use the same ISP cannot connect to TomTom, portable GPS car navigation systems

Using my cell phone browser, I CAN connect well (Sprint) and another friend wich uses a diferent ISP connect with out dificulty.

Is it possible the ISP is blocking? I am calling them tomorrow.
Just one possible issue ... caching. If at some point you got a 404 page (couldn't contact) and that's cached, it may just keep coming up time and again. Wouldn't be the first time someone has encountered this "problem".

The next time you try to connect to tomtom.com, hold Ctrl, and while holding that, press F5 on your keyboard, and then release them. This will work with both IE and Firefox. If that works, you may want to reconsider setting your cache up differently on your browser.
