Hello Everyone,

I was sent out of state for business in January 2009 and decided a GPS would help me find my way around so I bought a Tom Tom One. I was surprised upon using it to find that it did not give the street names. After being frustrated for months I today figured out that I need a computer voice to get the street names. When I hook up to Tom Tom Home it tells me that computer voices are not supported by this device. Is there a way to upgrade this unit and add a computer voice? If yes, can somebody explain how in simple terms?

It appears there are various versions of the Tom Tom One and I am not sure which one I have but I did find it identified as a "one2008_s_1024_m" and it does not have an SD card slot as mentioned in some postings I have read. I would love to be able to upgrade to add street names. Can anyone help?

Sorry but I don't believe your model supports Text to Speech. you'll need to upgrade to a Go model or one that definitely has a 's' in its name such as 340S.
