Here is the story.
I’v tried to fit the attachment for my tomtom in the window of my 2003 Chevrolet Malibu but it was non sense. It only fit in the window and it is too was too far for my reach. I was told not to glue the disk on my dash since it was hart to remove and that any theft that see that circle, will break into my car to find the gps in the glove compartment. So I look and saw the nice air vent right in the middle of the dash. And when I turn it as far as it goes it show a nice exploitable gap in the bottom.

So I went in my recycle box and found exactly what I need for experiment. An old tin can and a piece of vinyl siding. Ad a screw, 2 nut, and a few drops of crazy glue.
In the vinyl I cut a square exactly the size of the attachment that came with my tomtom, and I cut a piece of tin out of the container and start to experiment. Yes I did put tape around the thin so it won’t scratch or cut no one. Drill a hole in the middle.
Here is what I came up with. It give me satisfaction, it did not cost me one cent. The whole thing is removable in 2 sec. And nothing show.
So it looks good I spray with left over paint.
Ok yes the material is a bit thin but it is a good guide for building a second and final one. Or maybe I will keep this one, don’t know yet.
