ONE XL-S
I have two USB AC chargers - both 5 volt, one is 550 ma and the other is 1000 ma? Would one or both work to charge the XL-S in the house?

I posted a thread earlier about this, and was told either is OK. I had the same exact question. 1 is 500ma and the other is 1 amp (magellan charger). Crazy enough, if you look at your car charger's amps, it's rated at 2 amps! Seems kinda high, but either way, you're perfectly fine with either one.

Would the car charger from a cell phone with USB connection also work in the car with the TomTom?

The way electronics work is that they pull whatever amperage they need. It doesn't matter if your plug provides 1000 amps, if your device only needs 300mA, it will only pull 300mA. So either cable you have will work perfectly fine, as long as the output voltage is the same (which it is).
