changing guide arrow???

i read you can make a custom icon for the navigation arrow thats there now,it sounded real complicated,is there an easier way?will any bmp file of the same size work.thanx

i bit the bullet and folowed the instructions,it wasnt as hard as i thought,what i did find out is when they mean have the unit powered up they dont mean have home started. i did it with home started and it didnt work but turned off home and all worked well.i love this site,ive learned more in a week than i could have imagined,now if i could just get the itenerary function to work without sacrificing any other menus.
