Hey all

Ive been thinking of a way to mark the position of my car when i park and save it as a favorit

I can do that now but everytime i do i have to delete the old one and resave it again.

Is there a program or a way to do this a little easier

( i do this when i park in DC and some times youll have to park a few blocks from where you where going it would also be awsome to have for your trip to disneyland with the 10 mile long parking lot.

Thanks

Rob

You can save a total of 49 favs if I remember correctly, so you could just name each appropriately and later when you have time go through the list and delete those that don't apply.

You can create a POI and speciffic icon and save our parkings there instead.
Create POI: _parking (not. that POIname begins with "_", that makes that POI shows as 1st in POI-list, when saving POI.
Instead of phonenumber you can enter date of parking.

Just be forewarned that this method is not going to work in a large parking lot that is off the street. You may get to Disneyland, mark the parking spot and then find that the TomTom cannot find it.

The unit is designed to find locations on streets and roads, not off-road.

well it works in DC becasue nearly all the parking is street parking ( if you dont live there)

actually on my NA 710 map, I don't have that problem. while there are no roads in parking lots, that map will navigate me back to a marked spot well off the highway. it takes me to a point on a road nearest to the spot and then shows the arrow right to it. my earlier maps did not do this.

You just have to use the browse map feature to navigate back to an off road point. It works, I've done it.

I have been going
add favorite
my location
and give it the same name
it prompts to overwrite

great

that being said

how do i change the location of an existing fav?

I don't physically have my TomTom with me to check this, but if you go into Change preferences --> Manage Favorites is there an option to edit the location?

Nope thats the first thing i checked

OK, I spent some time going through the menu options and I don't think this is possible...seems like a simple item to implement, but it appears to be a non-editable feature for Favorites.
