TomTom Model(s)

I have an older TomTom 1535 TM and use it on my MacBook Pro. Plugged it in to check for update(s) and the display is no longer in english. How do I change back to english? Thanks

The TomTom 1535 is no longer in English, or MyDrive Connect is no longer in English?

If you mean MyDrive Connect, fire it up, go to what we'd call the 'systray' in Windows - I think it's called Menu Bar in Appleese (not the main app screen), then Settings, the General tab, and note the "Country" option that selects a language based upon country.

If it's the 1535, let us know and we'll deal with that separately.

It's the 1535 TM and I tried the above country selection and it was set to Canada (english) already. Saved the country location again but still comes up in a non english language.
Guess it's TomTom's way just like Apple to screw you so you will buy a newer model. Thanks for the info.

Is it on your GPS or on Mydrive connect that you want to change the language?

If it's on Mydrive connect try changing the language to another country then save go back to change language then reselect the language that suits you.

No, Tomtom does not want to force you to change your GPS for a new one.

Unbelievable!!! After a week of trying to get my to get my TomTom back to the english language and one day after writing the above post, strangely the TomTom unit is back to english. I don't understand how but I'll take it.
Thanks to everyone who responded to this issue.
