Change email address.

About to loose it with this thing now.
I have changed my email address, I have changed it on my tom tom account,
However on my device 550go, it keeps coming up as my old email how can I change this.??
I have connected my device to tom tom and updated the device.
But still the old email..
 
So I will loose all of the stored routes on the device is this correct.?
Yes. You need to have connected your Rider to the plan.TomTom.com server to be sure they're backed up there before performing the reset. Of course, you'll need to have them available under your new account at plan.TomTom.com first!
 
This is what I hate about TomTom,
A simple task, made so bloody complicated..
As long as you can see your old routes in the online planner when logged into your account there with the new email, logging into the new email with your device should bring them across again. This, in fact, is how some folks share routes, or access their own particular content when forced to share devices (commercial use).
