Car Power Adapter

My car adapter gets extremely hot-almost too hot to touch. Looking at TomTom's website, they don't carry the power adapters any more. Are the power adapters bad and TomTom has baled on us with respect to getting replacements?

You don't say what One version you have but I see it listed (in conjunction with the windshield mount) at the bottom of the screen in this link

Sorry. Second edition. At least I'm pretty sure it's 2nd edition. Is there anything on the device that would tell me? It looks like your link is for the 3rd edition.

This link may help show what version you have. Also, if you use Explorer, in the root of your unit is a text file called ttxx.bif. ('xx' may say 'go' or 'one', not sure) Look at the contents using Notepad and the 2nd row should show your model.

Also, I think the car charger is the same for both units. You can call support at 866-486-6866 to confirm. Also see whether they sell just the charger without the mount.
