Car charger question re: Blackberry

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows or has tried to use the car charger for their TomTom to charge a Blackberry. Both devices use the USB interface for charging, so it stands to reason that I could potentially reduce my travel bag (I travel for work alot) to only include one car charger. I'd prefer not to blow up my blackberry though to save a little space.

It will probably work?but to be safe, you should check the manual for your Blackberry to see if the charger (Blackberry's charger) provides 5 volts. If so, then the TomTom charger will work.

The same car charger works for both my XL-S and BB Pearl. Both have the same voltage and current rating. Mini USB plugs use a standardized set of power pins. I also use the same cable when connecting either one to my laptop.

Yes, the two are in fact interchangable. I use them interchangably, at work, at home, and in the car.
